Improve security by turning off IP device tracking if it’s not needed

IP device tracking is a feature that allows web-based authentication via web authentication proxy. This enables authentication when IEEE 802.1x port-based authentication isn’t possible. While web authentication can be useful, it may not be necessary in your case, and any unneeded mode of authentication may pose security risks. You can turn off this feature using the following code for each port:

switch(config)# int range gig1/0/1 – 24
switch(config-if)# nmsp attach suppress
end
